Last night in the NHL, only four teams were in action.

And none of these games had any influence on the habs.

Here are the results and highlights:

1. Mitch Marner the forward

Mitch Marner will become a UFA after the season and let’s say that on the free agent market, he will command a big salary.

Last night, he showed he wasn’t just good at hockey. In his old life, clearly, he played football.

Marner had an assist on the first goal of the game.

That of Auston Matthews.

The Avalanche created a tie a few moments later, however.

A sixth goal in six games for Valeri Nichushkin.

But in the third period, Toronto got help from the official.

Watch how the winning goal was scored:

Final score: 2-1.

2. Three goals in less than five minutes to start the game in Minnesota

The Wild didn’t need much time to seal their victory last night.

Minnesota needed just 4:29 to score the first three goals of the game.

These are the fastest three goals to start a game in the 2024-2025 season.

And in the history of the franchise, these three goals are not bad either…

The locals finally won with a score of 4-0.

Filip Gustavsson took care of the defense, stopping 34 shots for a shutout.

Big win for the Wild in the standings, anyway.

In the East, not much happened, except for the Leafs, who moved away from the Lightning.

Overtime

– A nice pass for the former habs player.

– 800th game for Jaden Schwartz.
