Names and numbers of All-Star Game jerseys: it’s very ugly

It’s not often that the NHL comes up with a concept that is appreciated by the majority of fans.

Of course, it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to please everyone, but the National League doesn’t help itself much.

Recently, we learned what the All-Star Game jerseys were going to look like, and once again, few people appreciated the concept, and with good reason.

Now we know the font for the names and numbers on these jerseys.

You won’t believe it, that’s for sure. I don’t even know how well I’ll sleep tonight, knowing that our captain and several other Bettman stars will be wearing these ugly jerseys.

Obviously, this other NHL concept has attracted a lot of criticism from Internet users who have seen the names and numbers. Several people unhappy with the design can be seen in the comments section of the TVA Sports publication above.

I don ‘t want to speak for you, but I’m pretty sure you’ll have an opinion similar to mine. It must be a joke, and if it is, it was a very good one.

By the way, you can even buy some jerseys, including those of Sam Reinhart and Sergei Bobrovsky, on the official Florida Panthers store site.

Looking around, I saw that there was already a jersey for Auston Matthews on this site, but to my surprise, it’s out of stock. This is a Toronto-based site.

I really don’t understand the idea of using a font like that, writing players’ names in all lower case, and placing the name below the number.

It’s a change, for sure, but with many players tucking part of their jerseys into their pants, it doesn’t seem like the best idea.

It’s as if no one was there to review the whole concept. I can’t believe it’s gone.
