Top-5: Two goals and 300th point for Jonathan Drouin

Last night, 26 of the NHL’s 32 teams were in action.

Here are the results and highlights:

1. Two goals and 300th point for Jonathan Drouin

At one point in last night’s game, the Avalanche were trailing 1-3 and 2-4.

Still, Colorado won, thanks to Nathan MacKinnon.

But who else?

In the victory, Jonathan Drouin, who is on a happy streak, shone. He scored twice.

In the process, he collected the 300th point of his career.

In 522 games with the Lightning, Canadiens and Avalanche, he has 301 points, to be precise.

His time in Denver has breathed new life into his career.

2. Crazy match-up between the Penguins and Bruins

The Penguins are on fire these days. In their last 11 games, they have an 8-2-1 record.

Yesterday, they won a crazy game against the Boston Bruins.

A 6-5 victory.

In the first period, six goals were scored, four by Pittsburgh, two by Boston.

In the third period, with Boston trailing by a goal, Brad Marchand decided to carry his team on his shoulders.

But of course, Sidney Crosby had other plans.

He put his team back in front with the winning goal.

Another big game for the Pens captain.

3. A night of bizarre goals

In Nashville, the Predators hosted the Calgary Flames.

It was the visitors who emerged from the game with a convincing 6-3 victory.

The hosts closed the gap in the third period thanks to this bizarre goal.

Dan Vladar must have blamed himself…

At least his team got the two points.

In the Avalanche-Stars game, another bizarre goal was scored.

This time, a Colorado player collected a beautiful pass on Evgenii Dadonov’s goal. No, Dadonov is not with the Avalanche…

Weird evening in the NHL.

4. Fourth straight win for the Jets

The Jets had to deal with the Sharks, an opponent that could be taken, let’s say.

The result is what you’d expect: Jets win, Sharks lose.

Fourth straight win for Winnipeg, who picked up a point in their 10th consecutive game.

Gabriel Vilardi scored the winning goal midway through the third period.

Connor Hellebuyck, meanwhile, continued his excellent 2023-2024 season.

The Sharks have now lost their last 10 games.

So they give themselves a nice priority to draft Macklin Celebrini.

5. Sergei Bobrovsky steals the Knights

It was Sergei Bobrovsky night in Vegas yesterday.

The Panthers goaltender was sensational in a 4-1 win for his team.

He produced this little gem to deny Jonathan Marchessault a goal.

The Russian finally finished the game with 26 saves on 27 shots.

In the win, Matthew Tkachuk, Carter Verhaeghe, Sam Reinhart and Brandon Montour all chipped in with two points each.

A goal and an assist for the three forwards and two assists for the defenseman.

Florida moved within two points of the Bruins and first place in the Atlantic.
