Top-3: Flyers goalie leaves game due to dehydration

Last night’s NHL action featured four games.

First came the Habs game, followed by three other duels.

Without further ado, here are the results and highlights:

1. Samuel Ersson leaves game due to dehydration

With two games in two nights, the Flyers decided to send Samuel Ersson into the lion’s den against the Vancouver Canucks.

The goalie did well, but unfortunately left the game suffering from dehydration.

A rare occurrence…

Before Carter Hart took over, the backup goaltender stopped 18 of 19 shots.

As for the attack, it scored four goals, three in less than two minutes.

On the losing side, Teddy Blueger scored his team’s only goal.

In doing so, he extended his streak of games with at least one point to seven.

2. Welcome to the NHL, Magnus Chrona

In San Jose, Magnus Chrona was making his first NHL start.

For the occasion, he had to face the Oilers’ big offensive machine.

It didn’t necessarily go well for the goalie, who allowed four goals on 12 shots and was even replaced by Kaapo Kahkonen.

Right from the start, Chrona was beaten by Ryan McLeod.

The latter had hit the target on his last four shots.

Leon Draisaitl welcomed the young Shars goalie, too.

He chased him out of the game.

And Stuart Skinner earned his second shutout of the season in a 5-0 win.

3. Knights end four-game losing streak

The defending champions are currently on a losing streak.

Prior to yesterday’s games, they had lost their last four. Yesterday, however, they put an end to this ugly sequence by disposing of the Kings 3-2.

In the win, Jack Eichel scored once.

It was his 30th goal of 2023.

For the visitors, who lost only their third game away from home, Anze Kopitar cut the deficit to one goal at one point.

But it wasn’t enough.
