Emil Heineman will not be in uniform tonight

The Montreal Canadiens held an optional practice this morning in preparation for tonight’s game against the New York Islanders at the Bell Centre.

For the occasion, a few players skated, including a certain Jake Evans.

It was good news to see that Evans was back at training, given thathe had missed the team’s last two practices.

Evans confirmed that he will be in uniform tonight against the Islanders.

Jordan Harris also skated with the group this morning, but he won’t be back in action tonight.

As for tonight’s line-up, it will be the same as for Wednesday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

This means that Emil Heineman will be left out for a second straight game.

St-Louis did say, however, that Heineman will accompany the team on the road for the three games before Christmas.

  • Monday the 18th against the Jets in Winnipeg
  • Thursday 21st against the Wild in Minnesota
  • Friday 22nd against the Blackhawks in Chicago
Heineman may play a game between now and the Christmas break.
