The Canadiens have removed Arber Xhekaj from the injured list and signed him to the Laval Rocket.

The club has just announced that Arber Xhekaj has been traded to the Laval Rocket. He was on the injured list in the last few days, but now he’s healthy – and down.
We wondered if the Canadiens intended to simply send him there on paper since he doesn’t need to go through the waivers, but the club announced that the defenseman would report to the Rocket tomorrow.
The man who spent last season in Montreal has never played in the AHL. All indications are that’s about to change.
The defenseman, who is experiencing a more difficult season, trained with his team this morning. However, he had not been activated on the CH’s 23-man roster this morning.
And now, he’s been activated just to get him off the injured list and send him to the Rocket.
