Joshua Roy scores his first goal since October 20
After a week off, the Rocket was back in action this afternoon.

For the occasion, it faced the Manitoba Moose (without Mattias Norlinder). Jean-François Houle’s team returned to winning ways with a convincing 6-2 victory.

In the victory, Joshua Roy finally scored a goal. He hadn’t scored since October 20. That night, he scored a hat trick.

During his scoreless streak, the Quebecer collected just three assists in six games.

He was the AHL’s leading scorer before his bad streak.

Let’s hope this afternoon’s game, in which he picked up a point, will restore his early-season confidence. In any case, he doesn’t necessarily play to be remembered, but to help his club win.

In addition to Roy, Jared Davidson and Logan Mailloux stood out. First, Davidson scored his first professional goal.

This was his second game with the Rocket.

Mailloux finished the game with a goal and an assist. His assist came on Davidson’s first professional goal.

And the right-handed defenseman opened the scoring in the opening moments.

A good game overall for Laval, who seemed to have regained their offensive poise. He fired 37 shots on net.

Filip Mesar dominates in the OHL

The Canadien’s training club isn’t the only place where the team’s hopes are hiding.

Filip Mesar, in particular, is currently dominating the OHL. Today, he finished his game with three points, and in eight games so far this season, he has almost two points per game (15).

After a disappointing 2022-2023 season and camp to say the least, Mesar is determined to prove his critics wrong.

In any case, he’s off to a good start. He’s got to keep that streak going.

His team, the Kitchener Rangers, won their duel 5-3 against the Soo Greyhounds.
