The probable addition of Vladimir Tarasenko will make the Hurricanes formidable
In the last 24 hours, Vladimir Tarasenko has been the talk of the town. At one point, Senators fans believed that Pierre Dorion had succeeded in luring him to Ontario.

But it looks like the Russian is headed for Carolina. That’s what The Athletic is reporting.

We don’t yet know the terms or the amount, but since last night, that’s the rumor going around the NHL. It could be in the short to medium term, for those interested.

It’s a great deal for Carolina – assuming it comes to fruition, of course.

Right now, the Hurricanes have a pretty full roster and $4.45 million in cash. Attracting the Russian to town would be on the team’s terms, as they can’t magically create space.

Unless the club is working on something else?

All this to say that the Hurricanes aren’t fooling around with the puck. When you consider that the club has also added Dmitri Orlov and Michael Bunting to its roster, it’s clear that the club will be “hard to play against” in terms of talent.

This will be even truer if Erik Karlsson comes to town…

Last year, the Hurricanes already had a fiery team. The club made it to the conference finals, and despite everything, management found a way to make the club even better.

The Canes have most of their draft picks right now, and aside from Jesperi Kotkaniemi’s contract, I don’t see any long-term financial drag. They’re going to be good for a long time.

In bursts

– Of course.

– What a great player.

– How do you turn down an invitation like that? Ok…

– Nice little contract.

– He’d better play well before he talks, him.
