Jesper Bratt signs monstrous contract extension with the Devils

Whoa!

Let’s just say I wasn’t really expecting this today, because it really came out of nowhere.

Jesper Bratt and the Devils have agreed on the terms of an eight-year contract extension. The Swede earns $7.875 million a year until the end of the 2030-2031 season.

This is the same contract as Nick Suzuki, by the way.

Hearing NJ and Jesper Bratt are closing in on an 8-year extension with a $7.875M AAV. Do the math and it’s $63M – which happens to be Bratt’s jersey number.
