ChatGPT: Le CH among the five most iconic franchises in North America
The Montreal Canadiens is one of the best-known sports franchises in North America.

After all, the club has been around for over 100 years, is the most decorated in the NHL for its 24 Stanley Cup wins, and has a different history from the league’s other original clubs.

Even artificial intelligence recognizes the presence and importance of the Montreal club. ChatGPT, an increasingly popular platform, ranks the Canadiens among the five most iconic franchises in North America.

It makes sense.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers complete the list.

Still, the list is pretty accurate.

One could debate whether the Dallas Cowboys deserve their place on the list since the franchise is referred to as “Team USA”.

Obviously, the Yankees couldn’t be overlooked on the MLB side… But, I think the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers could also be included in said list.

The Celtics and Lakers are the two NBA teams with the most championships (17), and they deserve their place in the sun. There’s no doubt about it. Perhaps things would have been different if the ranking had been made when Michael Jordan was pulverizing the league’s various teams…

But hey. It’s 2023 and the Bulls aren’t as popular as they once were.

All this to say that the Canadiens are still recognized as one of the great franchises in the North American sports world, even though the club won its last Stanley Cup 30 years ago, in 1993.

It just goes to show that the team’s success over the last few decades has not yet been forgotten. At least, it hasn’t been forgotten by artificial intelligence, hehe.
