Chronique | LHJMQ: la vente de l’Armada de Blainville-Boisbriand semble imminente https://t.co/wWEodg2gce

Even if things are going relatively well for the Armada de Blainville-Boisbriand on the ice, the team’s fans are no longer there.
since the arrival of the Laval Rocket, less attention has been paid to the Armada. In the last two seasons (21-22 and 22-23), the organization was in the “lower reaches” of the standings in terms of average attendance per game. They were ranked 16th and 15th in the league with averages of 1,700 and 1,400 spectators
That’s not much.
In recent months, there have been rumours that the club would be sold, and now the sale of L’Armada seems imminent. This information was reported last night by Martin Leclerc
told Radio-Canada that Joël Bouchard, Daniel Brière, Ian Laperrière and Jean-Sébastien Giguère want to keep their status as Armada shareholders
According to our sources, two local businessmen, Pierre Gendron (current minority shareholder) and Jean-François Trudeau, will be acquiring a large block of Armada shares. Québecor, however, would retain a minority stake of around 10% in the organization. – Martin Leclerc
Where it gets interesting is when Martin Leclerc raises the possibility of Joël Bouchard coming back into the picture, as he could have an “increased involvement in team operations”.
A source told Leclerc, however, that the scenario would be “surprising”.
As the team’s game analyst Vincent Demuy points out, there’s work to be done on the team’s amphitheatre, the Centre d’excellence Sport Rousseau. Because yes, even if the club is sold, it will remain in Blainville-Boisbriand
That said, the new owners will have the challenge of bringing people back to the CESR.
Whether we like it or not, an investment is needed in the amphitheatre.
Jumbotron, sound system, toilets and so on.
There’s plenty to do, but it will take $$$. https://t.co/j2hcp57HTQ

I don’t know about you, but I love going to see an Armada game once in a while. I’ve always found the atmosphere interesting when there are a lot of fans in the arena, and it would be nice to see that happen more often.
As Vincent Demuy points out in his tweet above, that will be the challenge for the new owners. Ensuring that the team’s fans come back to cheer the team on in large
In Brief
– It’s done.

At least the kid’s feeling better.
Sounds like Matthew Knies is feeling better day by day. He will have to be cleared and not sure that happens before game 5. Plus, the Leafs played a strong game last night, so Keefe may opt for the same lineup on home ice.

“You’d like to see something like that suspended, it’s not a field hockey play” – @cmcdavid97

To clarify, @NHLPlayerSafety will determine whether or not to remove the automatic 1 game suspension to Nurse. NHL Director of Officiating, Stephen Walkom decides on rescinding of the instigator. Rarely is the Instigator penalty rescinded, but auto suspension can be. https://t.co/BsoayX8LJ6

It’s a shame, because the Jays played a good game
Kevin Gausman had a strong game though, not allowing a run in six solid innings of work. https://t.co/R9w9vctiUh
