Cale Makar suspended for one match

Cale Makar isn’t a dirty player, but last night he was in the news for all the wrong reasons. The Avalanche defenseman violently checked Jared McCann while the latter was not in control of the puck. Makar was given a five-minute misconduct on the play, before the officials changed their decision. However, the league decided to intervene for the dangerous gesture and Makar will have to miss the team’s next game due to suspension. Let’s remember that the Kraken won in overtime last night, to bring the series total to two apiece.
