“U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt sentenced Fogle on Thursday after he pleaded guilty to one count each of traveling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and distribution and receipt of child pornography,” reports Mashable. This after the 38-year-old admitted to paying for sex with girls as young as 16 years old.
During the trial, forensic psychiatrist John Bradford reportedly tried to help Fogle by blaming the crimes on his diet: “Once he lost weight, it seemed as though in a short time he had hyper-sexuality. There are brain disorders that can be associated with sexual drive.” He then diagnosed Fogle with “mild pedophilia.”
