Gwen Stefani premieres heartbreaking new video, reveals why she scrapped third album
After Gwen Stefani recruited Pharrell Williams and writer Benny Blanco to help with her third solo album, things didn't quite go according to plan. Although two singles were released — “Spark the Fire” and “Baby Don’t Lie“ — the project has now been completely scrapped. Why?

“I didn’t feel fulfilled. That record with Benny was done that way because I had just given birth and had just started on ’The Voice’ and felt like I should do something in music, but what was I going to do? There wasn’t enough time,” Gwen told Entertainment Weekly. “So I tried to make a record where I was just kind of involved, which is how a lot of people do it, but it didn’t work for me.”

Now, the songstress says she’s got enough material she’s proud of to actually make a full album, but she hasn’t revealed any details about collaborators or what we can expect from the music. All we know is the first single, “Used To Love You”, definitely comes from the heart and is likely about her recent divorce from Gavin Rossdale.

“These songs are really natural — they’re from not worrying about what happened or what’s going to happen but about living in the moment, from trying to be present and trying to feel,” Stefani concluded.
