Heavy Montreal's second day may have helped the festival inch slightly into the lead in the cool department in front of last weekend's Osheaga thanks to the godfather of punk - and the most badass man on earth - Iggy Pop. The legendary musician tore up the stage (shirtless, of course) before Faith No More impressed with their almost heaven-like props and wardrobe and solid vocals.

The other major standout? Billy Talent with lead singer Benjamin Kowalewicz practically jumping off the walls, sharing his love of fellow performers Iggy and Faith No More, cracking jokes about the Habs vs. Leafs and even dedicating a song to a rather surprised cameraman. Proof that great performers aren't made, but born.
