Staying true to herself (yes, there are still some over-the-top moments), Schumer put the Bill Cosby scandal into perspective and we hope it’s just the thing to get people thinking... and talking about sexual assault, celebrities and media.
In the skit, which you can watch below, Schumer plays a lawyer defending Cosby’s actions and wins against facts and witness testimony by pointing out that Cosby was a beloved actor from a beloved show and that shaming him would ruin great childhood memories.
“If convicted, the next time you put on a rerun of The Cosby Showyou may wince a little, you might feel a little pang,” she says. “We don’t deserve to feel that pang. We deserve to dance like no one’s watching and watch like no one’s raping.”
Sadly, that rings way too true, doesn’t it?
