Italian digital artist Cristina Guggeri’s latest series of images, created in collaboration with Areashoot.net, is so funny and witty, we can’t stop talking about it. It’s also kind of brilliant in how basic yet innovative the concept is and it’s just one of those things that immediately made us think, ‘Why didn’t we come up with that first?!’

Aptly titled ‘Il Dovere Quotidiano’, i.e. ‘The Daily Duty’, Guggeri’s new collection of digi photos showcases some of the world’s most renowned and widely recognized leaders, including Barack Obama and the Queen of England, doing something we all do and forces viewers to see them in a way none of us ever have before: Sitting on The Throne. You know what we’re talking about.

OK, so they’re not real photographs, but even then these images manage to bring the chosen leaders down to a more accessible level, reminding everyone that, at the end of the day, we’re all human and we’re all exactly the same. Some of us just run countries and wear crowns.
