17-year-old Draven Rodriguez wanted his yearbook photo to be memorable – which is no easy feat! – so he started planning his senior portrait last year while he was still a junior at Schenectady High School.

Holding his cat, Mr. Bigglesworth, and posing on a background full of lasers, Rodriguez created the BEST YEARBOOK PHOTO OF ALL TIME. In case you haven’t seen it (or just want to stare at it for hours and hours to come) here it is in all its glory:

School officials didn't actually mind the idea of having such a brilliant work of art in the yearbook, but they did specify that it could not run in the senior portrait section. Even Rodriguez’s online petition couldn’t help change their minds, but this is where the really awesome part kicks in.

The portrait was taken again by original photog Vincent Giordano, except this time it also featured Principal Diane Wilkinson and her dog, Vivian, and it will be printed on the principal’s yearbook page. All the wins!

We can't believe it, but Take 2 is even more awesome than the original. Which one do you like most?
