With coffee being consumed all over the world for centuries and the recent apparition of energy drinks and substitutes on the market, I didn't think we needed even more caffeine in our lives.
Apparently, some people always need more and it can be dangerous and, in some cases, deadly.
Caffeine powder, often used in all sorts of shakes, is making its way into more and more households and specialists all over the United States are waving a red flag. Everyone knows that too much coffee is bad for your heart and your health in general, but the problem here is that this powder, available online, is so concentrated that only a teaspoon
has as much caffeine as 25 cups of coffee
This is insane and is sadly increasing the number of caffeine overdoses. As Cincinnati.com reports, the National Poison Data System shows up to 30 cases of overdose due to this particular product this year only.
