When L.A. Police Commission President Steve Soboroff noticed he was in Rihanna’s company at the NBA playoff game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, he didn’t hesitate to ask RiRi for a selfie. She, of course, agreed because she’s rad like that.

The 26-year-old accidentally dropped the phone, though, and cracked its screen. As you can see in the photo below, she was absolutely horrified and felt SO bad that she agreed to sign the back, writing "Sorry! I <3 LAPD”, so that Soboroff could auction it off.

It's now up for grabs on  eBay with the auction set to close later today. The highest bid is currently $63,330 - yowza! - and Soboroff plans to donate it all to the LAPD's cadet program and the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation.

Rihanna even went above and beyond that, donating $25,000 to the L.A. Police Foundation whose mission “is to create partnerships to provide resources and programs that help the police perform at their highest level and to enhance Los Angeles Police Department-community relations.”

Like we needed another reason to be fans of Rihanna.

Psssttt ! Envoie-ça à ton ami!
