Canadians sure do have the craziest ideas sometimes!

Alysha and Stephen McLaughlin asked Internet users (basically the whole world) to find a name for their daughter by posting this message to namemydaughter.com: "Hi, My name is Stephen and much to the disbelief of my wife, I have decided to let the internet name my daughter. Unfortunately internet I know better than to trust you. We will ultimately be making the final decision, Alas my daughter shall not be named WackyTaco692. Sorry guys the wife wouldn't go for a free for all."

As you might expect, there were a lot of funny, creepy and not so funny entries. Some people suggested Zelda - Robin William has already been there, done that - while others thought way outside the box and proposed the charming (!%$^*(%^). How do you even pronounce that?!

Cthulhu ended up being the top pick and Alysha jokingly made the announcement of Facebook, writing, "All bow down to the great and powerful Cthulhu".
At the end of it all, though, after 150,000 votes were cast, the happy parents decided on Amelia Savannah Joy, which was the users' second favorite name.
Not bad, Internet. Not bad.

Psssttt ! Envoie-ça à ton ami!
