"We welcome feedback, Elle. If your travel is complete, you can detail it here for review and follow-up," answered the airline, except instead of attaching a customer service link, they included a pic of a naked woman posing with a toy plane shoved in her vagina.
They quickly deleted the message and apologized - "We apologize for an inappropriate image recently shared as a link in one of our responses. We've removed the tweet and are investigating" - but it was too late, it had already been seen by more than 420,000 followers and become a trending topic on Twitter.
Talking to the Washington Post, a US Airways rep explained that their "investigation has determined that the image was initially posted to our Twitter feed by another user. We captured the tweet to flag it as inappropriate. Unfortunately the image was inadvertently included in a response to a customer." Oopsies.
