His recent cover of Katy Perry’s very controversial 'Dark Hose' – when it was released, the track was deemed so shocking there was actually a petition to remove it from YouTube! - is amazing and already has more than three million views.
To re-arrange a track in one or two styles is something, but this guy manages to make Katy Perry's 'Dark Horse' sound good as part of 20 different genres!
From Iron Maiden to Pavarotti, from Nirvana to Michael Jackson and from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to John Mayer - there’s something for everyone!
This guy actually managed to rewrite today’s pop hit through 40 years of music and the artists he chose to mimic were not picked at random. Vincent told Rolling Stones magazine, "Every one of those artists has influenced me at some point."
When he first got the idea to cover a famous pop song, Anthony was thinking of Miley Cyrus’ 'Wrecking Ball', but eventually settled on 'Dark Horse',
"I wanted to pick the most random styles you could imagine," he told RS. "I listened to 'Dark Horse' and after I heard it, I immediately thought, 'This is it. This is the one.' And I got to work." He adds jokingly "If I’m in any way responsible for having some 14-year-old girl Google 'Type O Negative,' that’s crazy."
The talented DSharp also did a cover of 'Dark Horse'... with a violin! Everyone knows the violin is not the easiest instrument to master, but DSharp offers quite an extraordinary performance - breathtaking!
