Surely we can’t be the only ones who think that Keanu’s last two films - Man of Tai Chi and 47 Ronin – look like this same exact movie and it's for that very reason that we think the perfect person for Keanu to face off against is himself.
Man of Tai Chi Keanu
Man of Tai Chi, which was released back in July, marks Keanu Reeves’ directorial debut. But rather than casting himself in the role of hero, the Canadian actor opted to play a villain who runs a fighting ring and recruits an unsuspecting but desperate Tiger Chen. The film takes place in China, features local talent and was, unfortunately, kind of a flop, raking in $100,000 in the US when it cost $25 million to make.
47 Ronin Keanu
Produced by Universal Studios, 47 Ronin is bound to be a way bigger hit than Man of Tai Chi. Taking place in Japan, it sees Keanu joining a group of samurai who seek vengeance on Lord Kira for killing their master and banishing the group. Set to be released on Christmas Day, it has Keanu surrounded by a Japanese cast, flailing about way longer hair and picking up a sword. He also gets Zombie Boy as a co-star.
Verdict: 47 Ronin Keanu
