When Ben Nunery and his wife Ali got married in 2009, they decided to use their empty home, which they had just bought, as the backdrop for their wedding photos.

Enlisting the help of Ali’s sister, professional photographer Melanie Pace, they ended up with some truly unique and gorgeous images. Sadly, their happiness soon took a turn for the worse.

It was 2011 when Ali was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer and at just 31 – only four and a half years after that blissful day – she passed away.

Now, two years after her tragic death, Ben and their three-year-old daughter Olivia are going to move to a new home and start afresh, but before leaving, Ben wanted to make sure they would always remember the good times.

Once again calling on Melanie, Ben and Olivia recreated a number of photos from that happy day back in 2009.

As Melanie writes on her blog, “After multiple tries at getting some 3yr pics of Olivia, Uncle Ben had a brilliant idea. Probably the best idea he’s ever had since knowing me. (Other than painting their bathroom a bold color against my sister’s wishes.)"

We probably don't have to tell you that they're absolute tear-jerkers.

Psssttt ! Envoie-ça à ton ami!
