Starring Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer and Tommy Lee Jones, The Family follows the Manzonis after they relocate to Normandy, France under the witness protection program in an effort to escape their mafia past after they rat out members of the mob.
Based on a book called Malavita - Badfellas in English – The Family sees De Niro playing the mob boss (obviously) and Jones portraying the CIA agent tasked with keeping the family concealed. Obviously, something has to go wrong and it’s not long before the mob boss’ old ‘buddies’ track him and his family down.
Jayne Mansfield's Car
Directed by Billy Bob Thornton, this drama stars Thornton himself, alongside Robert Duvall and Kevin Bacon - talk about film heavyweights. Taking place in Alabama in 1969, Jayne Mansfield's Car tells the story of two very different families who come head to head after the death of an estranged wife and mother,
Tensions are high and no one really knows what’ll happen, as Thornton’s clan, which is made up of three World War II vets and a World War I patriarch, faces off with a London family that couldn’t be more different. Love it!
Insidious: Chapter 2
If you’re looking for horror, this one's just for you.
The sequel to 2011's Insidious, the film stars Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne who play a husband and wife trying to discover why they're haunted and just how they became connected to the spirit world. After Patrick’s character rescues their son, he himself starts acting strangely, making his family wonder what (or who) is causing the shift in behavior.
Filled with paranormal events that just get scarier and creepier with every scene, we don’t recommend Insidious: Chapter 2 if a good night’s sleep is what you’re after.
