After months (and months and months) of speculation over which actors would be cast in the ultra steamy 50 Shades of Grey film adaptation, the news is official...
British actor Charlie Hunnam (who stars in Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim) will play 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey while Dakota Johnson (Melanie Griffith’s daughter who's only had small parts in The Social Network and 21 Jump Street) will be college student Anastasia Steele.
Unfortunately, not everyone is feeling the love. Author E.L. James for one would have preferred to see Robert Pattinson in the lead role. How do we know?
Well, James’ good friend Bret Easton Ellis took to Twitter to let the world know which hunks were being considered and which were given the cold shoulder. Scandalous!
Well that's a little harsh. Have they not seen Ian shirtless?!
Either way, though, we think badass Hunnam fits the role much, much better than our sweet little Pattinson, so you won't hear us complaining. What do you think about the casting choices?
