Since May 2008, D Laferriere has been drawing on his kids' sandwich bags with a Sharpie marker, then snapping a photo and posting it up to his flickr page.

And he's been darn consistent about it too. This wasn't just some passing phase or fad, no, Laferriere kept up with his plan and today has over 1,100 photos posted up to his "Sandwich Art" flickr.

"Each drawing is done just after I make the sandwich. I take a picture and post to flickr. My kids don't see the drawing until it is lunchtime. The challenges are coming up with an idea and then drawing quickly and directly on the bag, every line counts," he says.

And wow, is he ever good at it! We're talking everything from foods to objects to little characters and creatures, sometimes with color, sometimes black and white, sometimes more detailed and sometimes less - Laferriere is definitely a man who likes variety and never takes the easy way out.

These bags are AWESOME and we kinda wish we had someone doing that to our lunches every morning. *tear*

...Wonder if the kids are keeping 'em? Cause they should! Otherwise, we call dibs.

Check them all out here!
