Its been six years since Veronica Mars has gone off the air but, to some, its been six years too long. Veronica Mars err, Kristen Bell and writer Rob Thomas say the movie will totes happen. Youve just got to help pay for it.

Bell and Thomas are pleading with fans to help them make their dreams come true Veronica Mars the movie. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bell and Thomas announced that theyre going to make a run to get this underground series into the theatres in early 2014, but they need your help.

The twosome announced that they need to raise the funds in 30 days on Kickstarter, in order to make this project happen. The goal? $2-million in 30 days.

I have never fallen so deeply in love with a character, Bell told EW. We all became so close, and the cancellation of the show left a huge hole in my heart. I would have put on Veronica Mars: The Circus to bring it back.

If the pair manages to raise the funds, Warner Bros. digital Distribution has agreed to produce the movie and pay for the costs of marketing, promotion and distribution, reports the Huffington Post.

And, to be honest, we dont think theres going to be a problem. On the first day, the campaign easily surpassed $600,000 before 2pm.

So, where would Mars be now? Well, according to Thomas post on Kickstarter, he envisions the movie going a little something like this:

Life has taken Veronica away from Neptune. In the years since spoiling Keiths chances to be reelected sheriff, Veronica hasnt taken a case. But something big is about to bring her back home and back to her calling. My goal is to include as many of your favorite characters as possible. It is, after all, time for Veronicas 10-year high school reunion. Keep in mind that the more money we raise, the cooler movie we can make. A two million dollar fundraising total probably means cross words are exchanged at the class reunion. Three million? We can afford a full-on brawl. Ten million? Who knows For some reason the Neptune High class reunion takes place on a nuclear submarine! A Hobbit shows up! Theres a Bollywood end-credit dance number! Ive always wanted to direct Bill Murray. Well figure out something cool. Hey, if that total goes high enough, Ill bet the good folks at Warner Bros. will agree a sequel is a good idea.

Bell also took to the site to send out a heartfelt note to all her Mars lovin fans. She wrote:

dearest marshmallows

I am currently the happiest blonde in a hamster ball the world has ever seen. We have been waiting so long to make this movie dream a movie reality, and its because of YOUR commitment, YOUR persistence, that we finally have a chance. We just have one more step to go.

You have banded together like the sassy little honey badgers you are and made this possibility happen. i promise if we hit our goal, we will make the sleuthiest, snarkiest, its-all-fun-and-games-til-one-of-you-gets-my-foot-up-your-ass movie we possibly can.

I promise to give it my all. i promise to work my hardest to give everyone a little bit more Veronica, and i will be oh so honored to do so.

I only ask for one thing in return.

If I ever die, do me a favor. Go on Oprah and tell the world that I loved kittens.

LoVe to you ALL,

kristen bell
