There have been hints the world might welcome a Rihanna/Chris Brown baby one day. It's there in every couple-y photo Rihanna posts to Instagram: The twinkle in Brown's eye, the general lack of pants, the heavy nausea and foreboding that hangs in the air, like a harbinger of the apocalypse or maybe just RiRi's impending morning sickness. Rihanna, 25, has never said anything about actually wanting a baby to go with all the suggested baby-making. But maybe that's just 'cause nobody asked her.
Enter, then, Elle U.K., who talked to the pop star for their April issue. They asked Rihanna where she sees herself in five years, and, as per her reply: "I will probably have a kid."
Taken on its own, that little confession doesn't necessarily involve Brown. Boyfriends come and go, including the criminally abusive ones, you'd think. But in the same Elle U.K. interview, Rihanna has some things to say about Brown that suggest she wants him to -- what's the name of that current smash single inspired by their relationship? -- Stay.
Calling him "the One," Rihanna told the magazine that Brown is her best friend for life.
"Right now, that's just what we want, a great friendship, that's unbreakable," Rihanna told Elle. "Now that we're adults we can do this right. We got a fresh start and we're thankful for that.
"You don't have that feeling with everybody so when you have it, you don't want to let go of it. I would definitely say he is the one I have that kind of relationship with."
As for Brown, he hasn't said anything about family planning. His friends have, though, since that's what friends are for. And according toHollywood Life, Brown wants nothing more than to have a kidlet of his own one day, someone to toss the old mini-fridge around with in the backyard.
Commenting on Rihanna's Elle U.K. interview, a friend of the pop star's told Hollywood Life: "Chris feels the same way -- he would have a baby with RiRi, but that's way down the road because they're both young and in their prime. But yeah, Chris wants kids one day."
